Pricewatchers.... using SavingsAngel.com

I've been using PriceWatchers now for a few months (read my original post here) and I find I really enjoy it. Today I took the kids to Preschool Playtime (at the local community center) and turned them loose and of course the conversation turned to using coupons and how none of us are able to do much (no time ya know?) - so I told them about PriceWatcher which is a sorta new program that SavingsAngel.com released back in October or November.

Price WatcherThe basics of PriceWatcher (and I haven't seen this on any other couponing sites) is that you (the consumer) can set up products that you purchase regularly (or ones you'd like to try but are out of your budget) and set a pricepoint you are willing to spend - once everything is set up -

SavingsAngel.com starts looking for coupons and sales on those items and then they send out a daily email telling you where you can find them as well as links to the coupons (or where you can find them).

Please note: there is a small charge for using SavingsAngel - but I find that the savings more than makes up for that small amount and if you click on the ad right above this paragraph you can try it RISK FREE (just because I love you - awww)

Here are a few samples from the email I got today (this is 3 out of about 15):

Whole Foods Market (IL/IN/MI/MN/MO/NE/WI) :
Applegate Farms Family Size Chicken Nuggets 16 oz
Normally: $8.99      SavingsAngel price right now: $5.99
You'll save 33%!
Act now! This product is 30% or better. Details

Target: Clairol Natural Instincts Hair Color
Normally: $8.39      SavingsAngel price right now: $5.89
You'll save 30%!
Act now! This product is 30% or better. Details

Target: Dawn Products. Selected varieties.
Normally: $2.84      SavingsAngel price right now: $1.84
You'll save 35%!
Act now! This product is 30% or better. Details

When I set up my alerts I put a 30% off request and so what I see on my email is all the products I'm interested in - at the stores I specified - at 30% off or better.

Short & Sweet:
"My SavingsAngel Price Watcher is hard at work. Just tell them what you want them to look for, what kind of savings you expect, and which stores you shop. With each deal they find for you, they're earning their wings!"

In closing - I love how personable SavingsAngel.com is. I love that they do the work for me and include all the links and where I can find coupons. They also have a very user friendly tutorial section on their website that explains how to use the website, how to stack coupons & savings and whenever I have a question I can email them and often I get answers directly from the managers & higher ups - they are truly there to serve us! Thanks SavingsAngel!

FarmRich Delicious - Review & Giveaway

I've had 2 kids this summer and it's been a very interesting experience. Jake will pretty much eat anything and not complain about it (for example - he's been asking me to bake up a spaghetti squash since he's never tried it). His sister, Lizy, is another story. Her favorite phrase is: "I'm my mother's daughter." You don't want to know my answer to that.

I received 2 coupons for FREE Farm Rich products and I asked the kids what they would like to try with the other coupon. My hope was they would choose the same thing so I could do the meatballs since I'm lactose intolerant. Jake was all over the Mozzerella sticks and of course.... you guessed it.... Lizy wanted the pizza bites.

I ended up choosing the Marinara Stuffed Mozzarella Sticks thinking that was a great compromise. Lizy didn't think it was. Until she saw her brother enjoying them.

Imagine a lunch of 100% real Mozzarella Cheese with authentic marinara sauce baked inside a breaded coating. Packed full of calcium & protein for growing kids. These are a great snack food or perfect for an occasional lunch - and kids can bake them up on their own! We were playing monopoly while Jake enjoyed these - I didn't realize when I baked them (read - I didn't read the suggested serving) that a suggested serving is 2. I gave him like 7. He asked for a few more and so I baked up 3 more and I realized as he was finishing that Lizy had helped herself to one - and guess what? She loved 'em.

I just signed up for their Member Benefits - you might want to consider signing up. Members get special Birthday deals & exclusive offers, there are contests & giveaways, recipes, tips & photos from other members and more. Click Here.
You can purchase FarmRich products in the Freezer area of your store. There are all kinds of products - most of them are in the snack area. Click Here for details.

(PS: I did sneak a sample of two of the sticks when I knew I was going to be home just in case - I'm happy to say I tolerated the mozzarella with no bad effects - very delicious! I also discovered after I got home that they have French Toast Sticks - it's a good thing I didn't know that!)

WIN IT:
Would you like a chance to WIN 2 coupons for FREE Food from FarmRich? Well, here you go....

GivingNSharing received 2 coupons to purchase packages of FarmRich Snacks. I was not required to post a positive review and did not receive any money in exchange.

Tropicana - Trop50 Juice

I love Orange Juice - for breakfast, dunking graham crackers, with cinnamon rolls, popcorn or as a snack. I recently tried the Raspberry Lemonade which is my favorite. It's not overly sweet which is great for me - I find regular Orange Juice can almost be too sweet for me and sometimes it just makes me thirstier. I'll definitely be keeping this juice on my grocery list in the future.

Trop50 - 50% Less Sugar and CaloriesTropicana has created a new drink designed to help you lose weight and control your sugar intake at the same time. Trop50 Beverage is naturally flavored Stevia and  comes in 12 great flavors including:

and no artificial sweeteners.

Be sure to enter the giveaway for a $1000 gift card on Tropicana's FB page.

IWave Mini Microwave

A lot of you know that my Microwave officially died about 2 weeks ago. For the last year I've only had the numbers 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and reset and start to use on the key pad. (Try making 8 minutes using only those numbers!) - well, it's now gone to Microwave heaven and it's time to stick it in the trash.

Friday when I woke up I had a iWave Microwave in my front door waiting for me to review it and do a giveaway (yup, you heard that right!) - what timing! It's amazing how disappointing it is when you REALLY want a cup of cappuccino, oatmeal or a cup in hand and I can't because it needs to be microwaved and I didn't have one. I also was really missing my popcorn.

2344832481_ORIG.jpegThe iWave Mini Microwave is a cool 12 pounds, approximately 12"x12" and it's just the right size for a dorm room, putting on a desk or in the RV/Boat for those cups of coffee to keep you awake. I have it sitting on my little washing machine (it hooks up in the kitchen at the sink) along with my toaster w/ a little space to make toast/oatmeal.

It has a little handle on top to make it easy to carry in the car, to store it at work, to put in the RV or on your boat. Also the keypad is on top to make it easy to access and read. There are little buttons for hot sandwiches, coffee, popcorn, gel packs and soup. (I was really excited about the gel packs - I use those religiously to cut pain and ease my cramped muscles from Fibromyalgia. Sometimes the packs are all that works.)

The only downside to the Mini Microwave is that it's too small for frozen dinners like Healthy Choice or the regular size Weight Watchers meals. I haven't tried the mini meals like Fresh Lunch by HC or the smaller entrees by WW like their spaghetti w/ Marinara. The trays are smaller so they may work. I have made the cups of macs & cheese (the larger cups) and those turned out really good - just give them a little longer to cook. And I've also heated up water for a cappuccino and heated up a Cup in Hand by Campbells.  The 600 watts of power is more than enough to heat up things - you just may need a few extra minutes to heat up your food.

You can purchase your own iWave Microwave online here - it comes in several colors. Like I said above I think it would be perfect for the dorm room and would fit on those dorm fridges to make it easy to have something to eat when studying or the cafeteria's closed.

These links for Healthy Choice (register w/ newsletter), Weight Watchers and Soup in Hand all have coupons - to make putting together your care packages for college kids easier. This way you know they are eating somewhat nutritiously and with the iWave Microwave it's easier!

Giveaway: iWave.com is giving away a Mini Microwave to one of my LUCKY readers!

Savings Angel provides links to their coupons, their online savings Market Ad and any other coupons they've found the product you're interested in.
