All Terrain AquaSport SPF 30 Sunscreen

Today I get to introduce you to a NEW sunscreen. AquaSport SPF 30 was just rated the top sunscreen in the June 2012 Consumer Report Sunscreen report. The company’s other sunscreens scored high in the June Sunscreen report issued by the Environmental Working Group, which looks for products that are not harmful to children or the environment.

AquaSport SPF 30 is oxybenzone-free and has full-spectrum protection from UVA (skin cancer) and UVB (sunburn) rays. With non-nano and un-coated zinc oxide, it is natural, non-whitening, non-greasy and fragrance free Lotion or Spray that will not cause eye stinging. It is water and sweat resistant and is proven to be effective after 80 minutes in water.

My thoughts:
This summer we have been having heat in the 100's for the first time in years. The last 2-3 years we've had a few days over 100 but this year we've had more days over 101 than I can remember for a long while. It's not even the heat - it's the 100% humidity for months on end.

I was excited to try a new sunscreen this year. As a red head with very fair skin and 2 kids 1 of which is very active in sports it was a bonus. The  AquaSport sunscreen is very thick and I thought a little hard to put on. You have to use quite a bit of it to cover even a small area. One thing we all noticed was that it seems to make sweat "bead up" and I'm not sure if that helped us stay cooler but it seemed to. I did notice that it does a good job not allowing my skin to burn as much and the kids didn't get burned at all - even playing in the fountains at Stinson Park or running around outside. Loved that.

I did tend to put the sunscreen on myself & Lizy after about 1 1/2 hours since she and I are a little more susceptible to burns (especially me). I was able to use it at my literacy events where I also use a canopy to help protect me from the sun. I haven't had a severe burn since I started using the sunscreen.

All Terrain Sunscreens are again "Top-Rated" for "Best Beach and Sport Sunscreens" in the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep® report. (read the report/reviews)

All Terrain has a full line of products to help with sun & skin protection. Their sunscreen is Oxybenzone-Free and their insect repellent is DEET-Free. They are very concerned for consumers who want a Natural, eco-friendly product that is healthy for their bodies. They are laboratory-tested and/or field-tested to meet high standards - and they have released their lab results for consumers to educate themselves.

I feel like I can strongly recommend the All Terrain line of products, especially the sunscreen to anyone that prefers a product that is healthy for all members of your family. You can know they have your best interests in mind and you can use the All Terrain AquaSport SPF 30 Sunscreen comfortably.

Buy It:
You can purchase a 3 oz bottle of All Terrain AquaSport SPF 30 Sunscreen for $11.99 online. It is very thick so I would suggest you get the biggest bottle you can afford if you have a family your sharing it with. The Sunscreen Spray for a 3 oz bottle is $13.99 and I'll admit I wish I had had the spray to try as I've found I really like the spray. I feel like I'm better covered. It's something to consider. There is also a face stick, an SPF 15, bottles specially formulated for kids, lip sunscreen and more. Click here to order

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
