Week 2 is here and I'm still alive. LOL. Actually this has been a very long week starting last Saturday with my neighbors having a party until 2:00 am & I didn't fall asleep until around 2:30 when the last car door slammed and the last person yelled across their front lawn. Thank heavens they don't do this more than a couple times a year! I couldn't take it. Today, Friday, I am finally starting to feel like I just might live.
Yesterday and Today I have Connor both days so it has been rough trying to fit in my workout and then last night Connor suddenly became accident prone and fell 3 times in about 15 minutes. I ended up picking him up 2 times which is something my back just can't take anymore. I sprained it about 10 years ago and actually do weekly Chiropractor visits because now my hips twist and it becomes very difficult to walk without pain in my lower back and hips.
My prayer request this week is that my workouts will help strengthen my back and hips. The workout I do is a Walking Program. I thought it would be a good place for me to start and that it hopefully would help with strengthening those problem areas. And let me tell you - I am really feeling it on the outer part my hips and in my inner hips the most. The pain is kind of excruciating at first but ends up going away after about 7 minutes which was truly a relief for me. =D And I was pleased to note that I'm not aching afterwards which is what some of the other Shapely Girls on our Challenge Team have noticed.
This week I lost a pound - I was hoping to keep up my 2 # weeks. But that's OK. I'm low on my Body by Vi Shake mix so have only been doing 1 a day so I'm sure that's part of the problem. Hopefully next week I will be able to report my 2-3 pound loss. I'd be very happy with that. Also, starting next week I'll be able to do my workouts on a more regular basis since I won't be in the pain I am right now. That I would be VERY happy with.
Be sure to connect with the other gals doing the Challenge this month. I've included the linky here and you can just click on the pick and go cheer them on! I'm sure they would love it.
