Friday Weigh In w/ the ShapelyGirl Fitness Crew - Wk 3

Well, I had a week that wasn't so successful. I think I'm going to have to add a couple more weeks to my blog tour for ShapelyGirl Fitness. Which is OK ~ I was hoping that the blog team for this tour would decide to continue on after our blog tour is over. We've all gotten rather close and I feel we've become more than a team.

That being said, I was only able to get in one session this week. I really enjoyed it. I started out the week wishing that I had a full session of stretching included on my DVD or that there was a stretching only DVD. As you know I had hurt my back last week lifting Connor and my back was still really aching. I just felt the need to do a good session of stretching.

I was reading some of the other reviews and some of the gals were talking about some of the bonus sessions on the DVD and I thought since I was hurting still so much that I would try one of the shorter sessions and so I chose the shortest one - and guess what? There was a good amount of stretching on it! My back felt so much better after I was done and it was just the right amount.

The rest of the week went downhill from there. I ended up coming down with some nasty stuff starting Wednesday night. Really bad sore throat. By Thursday I was fighting the vesuvious of runny noses and that night throwing up. By Saturday night no voice remained and today I was in bed all day. I haven't felt this bad in probably 3-4 years. Today my voice is in and out but it seems like it's starting to come back.

This weeks prayer request:
Please pray for healing so I don't have to do the Dr thing ~ I really can't afford it. Also, pray that the kids are really good, I'm not up to constantly being after C to keep his hands to himself and to sit up in his car seat, stay off the rock wall and off the porch upstairs. He's gotten a lot better about listening and coming when called but it's still constantly having to be after him. Please also pray that I can get in a full week here of walking & stretching. I was so excited about this but between my back and then getting really sick it's been difficult. I'm wondering if there is a little spiritual warfare ~ or maybe it was just my turn to get sick.

Thanks! No weigh in this week. BUT you can check in with the other gals participating:

An added note: I wasn't going to weigh in this week. I didn't think I'd lost anything but I decided to check the scale this morning before my shower and.... (drum roll please) I lost 10 #'s just since Thursday! Normally I only lose 2 #'s each week (give or take a pound) but well, I guess something good came out of being so sick! LOL

So far I'm down 25 pounds! since August! Shouldn't my clothes be big on me by now? They're very comfortable not tight at all - my shirts are big but pants aren't. Hmmmm - time to get walkin'....

  1. You'll get there! The important thing is not to let the set-backs become a standstill. You're doing great and will continue getting stronger each week. God bless!!!
