Sniders Prime Rib and Roast Seasoning ~ Product Review

all crafts Homemade Projects ~ Add Yours! {12/20}

Snider's Prime Rib & Roast Seasoning RS1002I love seasonings. What more can I say? The other day I was hungry for a nice juicy roast with potatoes and carrots and usually I use the Onion Soup Mix and make it in the crockpot. It's a "safe", fast recipe that rarely goes wrong (usually only when I pick the wrong meat).

I always purchase my meat at the butcher in HyVee. I like their meat - it's fresh, I can see what I'm getting and they'll let me purchase small amounts - like 1# of chicken breast or beef roast. Being single that's more than enough for me and about all that will fit in my crock pot by the time I add all the yummy veggies.

This time while I was waiting for the butcher I saw a bottle of Sniders Prime Rib and Roast Seasoning ($3.99) on the top of the meat case and thought 'Hmmmm, I'll give it a try'. (Usually I use McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning but I never thought to try it on a roast.) Then I got it home and wondered what I do with it. =D

I ended up using it as a rub and setting it in the fridge for about 45 minutes. Then added my potatoes & carrots and stuck it in the crock pot overnight.

I've been spending a little time looking for ideas on how to use it and came across some great blogs with recipes and ideas ~ you can check them out here:

What would YOU use this seasoning on? Something other than just beef & pork roasts & chops.... I bet it'd be good on steak fries.
