Noxicare Pain Reliever

Most of you know that I have Fibromyalgia and I know many of my readers do as well. I'm always looking for something (anything actually) that will cut pain and I was excited to hear about a new pain relieving creme that is Natural and pinpoints the specific type of pain. I don't like to take all the pills (actually most just make me very sick - nausea, dizziness & all I do is sleep) and I've tried many kinds of creme made from Capsaicin which is made from chili peppers. The Capsaicin actually numbs the nerve endings & stings and produces a burning sensation to your skin. What I don't like about Capsaicin is the need to be ultra careful of touching your eyes, lips and face with your fingers as the burning is far more intense there than just on the skin where you are in pain.

I am thrilled that there is another option for chronic pain sufferers of all kinds - including tension headaches, neuropathy, musculskeletal, athletes, etc!

How does it work?
What makes Noxicare™ stand out from any other natural pain relief formulas used by those with Neuropathy is: It’s not simply a mixture of natural pain relievers, but instead a proprietary blend of proven painkillers in precise amounts that:
  • Enable each ingredient to effectively relieve a specific type of pain on its own
  • Cause each ingredient to act as a catalyst to the others, actually BOOSTING the effectiveness of the ingredients as a whole.
The result is an extraordinarily potent, natural pain relief formula that relieves all types of pain experienced by Fibromyalgia.

While some other Neuropathy pain treatment products might reduce inflammation, decrease muscle aches or increase blood flow to ease painful nerve endings, Noxicare™ treats all types of pain—not by numbing the pain point—but by targeting the source of the pain with a natural formulation that deeply penetrates layers of skin to help promote the body’s own healing process.

My thoughts:
When I originally received the Noxicare I was excited about trying this new pain cream out and seeing if helped even a tiny bit with the constant pain from the flareup I was currently having. I also wanted to see if it felt like some of the other pain creams that are on the market (like Bio-Freeze and Icy-Hot)

At first it didn't seem like the cream was even touching my pain. At the time I was really struggling to turn over in bed, stand up or even sit. The pain was really bad. I finally ended up contacting customer service and they suggested several applications a day. I was also told that the cream is used to "ease" the pain - not to get rid of it.

I ended up putting the cream on heavily about 3-4 times a day. I'm not talking about a dime sized dollop - but enough to cover 3 fingers or about a 1/2 dollar size of the cream. That really seemed to help although the pain wasn't gone.

Here are my thoughts: I personally don't think I will be able to use the Noxicare to control my flareups. I don't get them often but when I do the pain is terrible. I rarely use over the counter pain pills and I'm currently off my pain medicine - so perhaps if I had taken the OTC pills and my Gabapentin I would have been able to use it better. I'm not sure. I love the idea of a product though that is targeted to individual pains and the areas they are in. I'm not taking something that is actually for something else (ex - Gabapentin is for Eppilepsy and I have Fibromyalgia) and the ingredients in Noxicare is actually for PAIN - not the sniffles, not sprains or bruising (although I think Noxicare would be IDEAL for sprains, twists, pulled muscles, etc) - and it doesn't BURN like creams made from Capsaicin which burns me and basically takes my mind off the pain and onto the burning sensation.

Buy It:
You can purchase Noxicare at some local stores (retail locator) and
it's also available online for purchase: Click here. The cream is available for $19.99 and this summer capsules will be released for $19.95 (I'm especially excited about this).

You can also suggest Noxicare to your local pharmacist & physician. Suggest they contact Noxicare at: to visit with them about carrying their product. I'm going to suggest it to my rheumatologist - Dr Deborah Doud.

Remember:
Noxicare™ Natural Pain Relief is a breakthrough natural, patented pain relief formula that is a proprietary combination of 7 of the world’s most potent natural pain relievers that quickly and effectively alleviate inflammation, muscle aches and nerve pain—with NO known side effects and without a prescription.

Treasures of Healthy Living ~ a Review

Treasures of Healthy Living

Treasures of Healthy Living
by Annette Reeder
ISBN: 978-1414115702
Amazon: $16.97 (paperback) $9.99 (Kindle)
368 Pages

About the Book:
Get ready to get healthy God's way. There are dramatic health benefits when we eat the food God provides for us instead of the processed packaged food man provides. Since changing their diet in 2003, Annette and her husband have come off of all their prescriptions, lowered triglycerides from over 900 to 140, lowered cholesterol from 300 to 160, and lowered their blood pressure to normal.

Did you know you can find the answers to many health problems in the pages of Scripture?

Think of God's Word as a treasure map that leads straight to the healthy life you've always dreamed of. It reveals how you can move from a sickly, lackluster life to one that is full of energy and hope. This practical Bible study will reveal the truth about the foods you eat and provide simple tools to begin improving your physical, emotional, and spiritual health. You won't believe how much your life can change when you grab hold of the treasures God has provided for you.

In this Bible study, you will:
• Discover the basics of nutrition to build a firm foundation for your health
• Obtain the tools you need to evaluate and improve your health
• Examine the harmful effects of altered food and household products
• Find healthy alternatives to unwholesome foods
• Learn how diet, exercise, and your spiritual life go hand-in-hand
• Lay the groundwork for a lifetime of positive health

A few thoughts from other people:
"This well organized book is full of good, scriptural tips and sweet stories. I know God will use this book in a mighty way. Rex would have been thrilled with this Bible study." -Judy Russell, wife of the late Dr. Rex Russell; author of What the Bible Says About Healthy Living

"Based on a passion to bring glory to God alone, Annette Reeder and Dr. Couey present sound Scriptural truths, coupled with extensive research data. Look forward to being rewarded with life-changing application and treasures which you will eagerly want to embrace and share with others." -Jerry and Bobbye Rankin, International Mission Board, SBC

My Thoughts:
I was very interested in reviewing this book when I was asked to partly because of my fibromyalgia and because of my need to stay up to date on research and avoid processed foods & also because I was curious about what Annette had to share from their perspective. I was very interested in the facts that they were able to remove their prescriptions from their life and also because they had such a dramatic result from the changes they made.

I was very impressed with the amount of research this book contains and I really liked how each chapter is broken up in to smaller chunks. Each chapter is made up of 5 days of a very indepth study in scripture and nutrition as well as fitness. The main focus of the book is to make God and the Bible your life foundation with food and nutrition falling into place.

Treasures of Healthy Living is designed for study groups from church, between friends and spouses and it can also be used by an individual. Just so you know some of the days study are very long and I would see myself breaking it down into much smaller chunks as I'm just not able to focus for the length it would take to get through that day's lesson. Some of the days (take week 1, day 4 is 12 pages long and it covers "Tools for the Journey" that you will need.)

There are DVD's to extend the lesson for bible study groups and the book I received is a combination bible study and workbook. You can find out more about the program at http://www.designedhealthyliving.com.

I received a copy of Treasures of Healthy Living to review on GivingNSharing. I was not required to give a positive review and no money exchanged hands.

Dr. Scholl's For Her Ball of Foot Cushions Review

I've been purchasing Dr Scholl's Tennis Shoes for years. They are the only shoes that are comfortable, support my arches and don't bother my back. Unfortunately they don't make dress shoes that I know of so I was really excited when I saw a pair of the Ball of Foot Cushions ($5.74 @ Target) in my VoxBox last month.

My dress shoes are in really sad shape. The liner is coming out of them and they just hurt my feet. The cushions really helped the ball of my foot not ache and my foot wasn't slipping around which was wonderful.

Details:
- Helps prevent ball of foot pain.
- Immediate Massaging Gel comfort for the ball of your foot (this really works)!
- Only ball of foot product made with unique FabuSTEP gel .
- Prevents toe scrunch (a life saver!).
- Stays firmly in place.
- Removable without damage to your shoes.
- Discreetly fits all women's shoes (I've been wearing them in my sandals).
- One size fits all.

Save $2 on any Dr Scholls For Her product.

Aveeno Body Wash - I love it!

I've been wanting to try the Aveeno Body Wash for a while now and received a small bottle of it in my most recent VoxBox and it's exactly what I've been looking for!

The Aveeno Body Wash is clear, creamy and beautiful suds are abundant. I loved that I didn't have to use a lot of it to make up the suds - for some reason I don't feel clean unless there are LOTS of suds. With Aveeno I didn't have to use more than my first application. I also liked that my skin doesn't feel really dry and I think it will be wonderful to use in the winter especially with their lotion.

This new body wash is made with natural colloidal oatmeal which soothes dry skin and it contains natural oils & emollients to help replenish my skins natural moisture. I personally didn't notice any fragrance and it's also soap free, dye-free and hypoallergenic so it's great for people like me with ultra sensitive skin.

Sonos - special offer in time for Father's Day!

Year after year do you have a hard time figuring out what to give Dad? Or are you looking for a gift for the whole family? Like to dance while you do your housecleaning and get tired of stopping to turn on the music in every room - or do you just crank up the volume and blare it so you can hear it all over the house?

Target is hosting a special promotion until June 16th: With each purchase of a Play:3  unit you will receive a $30 Target gift card and with the purchase of a Play:5 unit you will receive a $50 Target gift card. You can save that GC for Christmas Shopping, birthday gifts, a special new outfit - or you can gift it to Dad to use on his favorite CD's or Shoot 'em up movie. John Wayne anyone?

I love the idea of programming my favorite tunes while I'm cleaning and listening to it as I go from room to room or from floor to floor.

And imagine hosting a party - a little Don Ho anyone? Dancing on the patio, singing in the family room and friends mixing their drinks or making up ice cream sundaes in the kitchen. With the internet you have access to over 10,000 radio stations and shows worldwide - perfect for any Summer, Christmas, Birthday or housecleaning party!

Curious about the difference between Play:3 and Play:5?

Play:3 - Compact, all-in-one Sonos player with 3 integrated speakers and 3 digital amps for big HiFi sound. Available in Black or White ($299)

Play:5 - Original, bigger room, all-in-one Sonos player with 5 integrated speakers and 5 digital amps for a powerhouse of HiFi sound. Available in Black or White ($399)

And, best of all, you control from anywhere with your smart phone or tablet - works with Android, iPhone, iPad, and Sonos controller. No more KISS or Marilyn Manson if you don't want your kids listening to that!
I participated in this campaign as a member of One2One Network and I'm eligible for a prize drawing. All opinions stated in the post are my own.

A new endeavor...

I've started a new endeavor this summer at the Farmer's Market and also online on Meylah.com. I personally have allergies to dairy, whey and soy and find it so hard to find convenient mixes for cakes, cookies, breads and main dishes. I have been making my own mixes and thought "Why not make them to sell? Surely others will enjoy having access to products without these ingredients."

I'm new to having an online store for handmade items and even though I've uploaded all my pics and descriptions I got to thinking it would be helpful if I would bake up or cook some of my mixes and show the actual prepared dish. So, I had Elizabeth (age 6) volunteer to help me ~ and then she decided barbies was more fun so I ended up cooking it myself. Even the threat of keeping it all to myself didn't stir either of my kids to help me! Oh well...

Today I'm going to share the Spiced Apple Bundt Cake with you. It's simple to prepare, delicious and uses ingredients you already have around the house. This mix includes a small packet of raisins that you have the option of adding. I know many people don't care for raisins so I wanted you to have the choice of whether you wanted to add them.

Spiced Apple Bundt Cake Baked.egg on Aviary

You will need the following in addition to the mix:
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
3 cups apples
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Combine the eggs and oil and beat on low with your mixer. Pour in your mix and the optional raisins and pecans. Continue beating with your mixer just till combined. Pour into a greased (I just use Pam) bundt cake pan and put it into a preheated oven at 350 degrees.

Be very careful to not overbake as you will end up with a dry cake. A knife or wire should be inserted into the center of your cake and when removed it should be clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then remove from the pan and let cool completely on a wire rack. Note: it tastes even better if you let it sit for 24 hours. =D

You might try serving it with coolwhip or homemade whip cream. A nice vanilla ice cream sprinkled with cinnamon or even w/ some caramel would be wonderful too!

Made With Love label

You can purchase mixes on my Meylah store for $7-$8. Each comes with a cute little bag recycled from clothing or my quilt stash that can be reused for sewing projects or even your own quilt projects. Not a quilter? Your daughter can use it to make a pillow for her dolly or cut it up for barbie clothes.

I am going to host a giveaway this week. One lucky winner will receive their choice of 1 soup and 1 bread or cake mix. That winner will get dinner in a box! YUM!

Blind Hope - a true story about love

~ Review

Blind HopeBlind Hope: An Unwanted Dog and the Woman She Rescued

by Kim Meeder
208 pages
ISBN:9781601422804
Amazon: $5.60 (paperback)

An unwanted dog. An emotional rescue. Two lives forever changed.

Laurie's dreams had been shattered before she came to work at Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch—the ranch of rescued dreams—where broken horses and broken children encounter healing every day. In an attempt to soothe her aching soul, Laurie reached out to save a dog in need. And she soon began to realize that the dog was rescuing her.

An inspiring true story told through the engaging voice of Kim Meeder, Blind Hope reveals poignant life lessons Laurie experienced from her ailing, yet courageous canine friend. Despite the blindness of her dog—and her own heart—Laurie uncovered what she really needed most: authentic love, unconditional trust, and true acceptance, faults and all.

As Laurie and her dog, Mia, both learned to follow the lead of a master they couldn’t see, Laurie discovered the transforming power of God’s grace even for imperfect and selfish people—and she experienced a greater love than she had ever known.

“Love is a bridge that stands firm through difficulties and connects one heart directly to another, not because of how it looks, but because of what it is.”    --Kim Meeder, Blind Hope

My Thoughts:
Blind Hope is about more than rescuing a dog from a neglectful owner but it's also about a woman who ends up learning more about herself and the God who loves her than she expected. She ends up learning about why she takes risks with her life, why she can't trust others and why she can't trust God to provide her with what she needs and wants more than anything.

Blind Hope is a good book to leave in the bathroom, on the end table, in the guest room and it's a great book to read with your kids 12+. There are some parts kids will have questions about but you can take the time to explain the answers and use those questions to help your children to form an opinion about right and wrong. The book is a quick read even though it's 208 pages long. It moves fast and is chock full of good advice, scripture and has a wonderful section on what Christ's sacrifice means to us.

You can purchase the book on Amazon where it is currently on sale for $5.60 which makes it a good gift for a friend who loves animals.

The Fiddler ~ Blog Review

~ Review

The FiddlerThe Fiddler
Series: Home to Hickory Hollow
by Beverly Lewis
ISBN: 978-0764209772
326 pages
Amazon: $9.62 (paperback), $8.63 (kindle), $12.51 (hardcover

About the Book:
A wrong turn in a rainstorm leads Englisher Amelia Devries to Michael Hostetler--and the young Amishman's charming Old Order community of Hickory Hollow. Despite their very different backgrounds, Amelia and Michael both feel hemmed in by the expectations of others and struggle with how to find room for their own hopes. And what first seems to be a chance encounter might just change their lives forever.

My Thoughts:

The Fiddler is a wonderful book - it moves fast, is well written, all the i's & t's are dotted & crossed and I connected with the hero & heroine of this story. Amelia is a believable musician (child prodigy & top level violinist) who is struggling with a big decision and afraid of hurting those who love her if she doesn't make the right one.

This verse beautifully describes the theme of the book and both Amelia & Michael take refuge in it:

"Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Ps 37:4

One of the best things I liked about the book is the level of faith sharing that Beverly Lewis imparts. Through the verses given and message of faith both Amelia and Michael are gently encouraged to seek God in prayer and listen to what God is teaching or leading them to do. I loved how it was done without preaching. Both Christians and non-Christians should enjoy this book & it would be a great title for mother daughter reading - the only thing missing is a list of questions for discussion.

Bath & Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist: Love It!

~ Review
Bath and Body Works Fragrance Mist
I'm new to www.influenster.com and recently received my first VoxBox which was filled with all kinds of wonderful health & beauty products to try and enjoy. I think of everything in the box I LOVED the Twilight Woods fragrance by Bath & Body Works the most. I'm not big into woodsy or musky scents so I wasn't sure I'd like it - but it's wonderful! Not to strong, it doesn't smell like a guy's cologne (you know, the one you can smell across the room). It does smell a little musky & definitely reminds me of a forest. It's perfect for a night out on the town.

The new Twilight Woods fragrance is part of the Fine Mist Fragrance line from Bath & Body Works and part of 20 different fragrances like:

The Bath & Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist Collection:
